Certificates of Deposit

A Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a special type of deposit account that offers a higher rate of interest than a regular savings account. It offers great flexibility because you determine the amount to be deposited and the maturity date.

CDs are one of the safest investments you can make because your interest is insured by the FDIC (up to $250,000 through December 31, 2013).

We offer competitive rates on all of our CDs in terms of 30 days, 91 days, 182 days, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, and 3 years. We also offer higher rates on CDs over $100,000.

Call Basile State Bank today at (337) 432-6646 for our latest CD rates!
FDIC
Basile State Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program.

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”). It does NOT include other accounts such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, money-market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
